Factor’s Famous Del Stuffed Cabbage with Beef

Ingredients

1 jumbo cabbage

1/2 jumbo white onion

1 1/2 green bell peppers

2 1/2 lb’s ground beef 90% lean / 10% fat

1/4 cup A-1 Steak Sauce

2 eggs

2 oz soy sauce

1/2 cup dried basil

1 cup rice

1/2 cup sauerkraut

Sauce Ingredients

1 qt. ketchup

2 clove

2 bay leaves – dried

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup water

2 oz. soy sauce

Directions 

Take out the core of one jumbo cabbage. Put in boiling water. Take the hard part of the core off the cabbage (to make it easy to roll). 

Finely chop the onion and bell pepper in a food processor, then cook onion and bell pepper and sautée. Cool it off and mix with raw ground beef add 2 eggs, A-1 steak sauce, soy sauce, dried basil and uncooked rice. Mix all together and roll in cabbages. 

Chop extra cabbage to place in pan before you place the cabbage rolls in the pan so they don’t stick. Add sauerkraut to the chopped cabbage as well.

Sauce Directions 

Mix 1 qt. ketchup with all sauce ingredients above. Pour small amount of sauce on chopped cabbage at bottom of pan, then place the rolled cabbage and add sauce over the rolls. 

Put in 350 degree oven for 2 hours
