Ingredients
4 cups white flour
1 ½ water (lukewarm)
2 ½ tablespoons of yeast
2 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
Directions:
Add flour, yeast, and sugar to a mixer bowl.
Turn the mixer on mid-power and add water gradually.
Once the dough started to form, lift the mixer hook every minute or so to separate it from the dough. This process should take between three and five minutes.
Flour the bowl and place the dough inside. Spread olive oil over the top and cover with plastic wrap for 30 to 40 minutes.
When the dough has risen place it on a floured surface. Divide the dough into small balls around 4 inches round. Flatten the balls with a rolling pin into an oval/pita shape.
Leave the pitas for another rising and cover with plastic wrap for ten minutes.
Heat your oven to the maximum temperature or broil for 15 minutes
Place the pitas in the oven on the lowest shelf and watch them rise. Turn or flip as needed and remove once they fluff up to maximum size.
